Zarys fabuły
Jedną z głównych postaci tego komediodramatu od stacji Showtime jest Frank Gallagher, który jest bardzo nieodpowiedzialną głową rodziny. Bohater jest alkoholikiem i spędza większość czasu, leżąc nieprzytomny w salonie, zamiast zajmować się swoimi pociechami. Dzieciom nie pomaga także matka, która odeszła od rodziny. Cały ciężar za prowadzenie domu i rodziny spada na barki najstarszej córki Fiony. Bohaterka w związku z niedyspozycją rodziców sama zajmuje się wychowywaniem swoich licznych braci i sióstr. To nie jest jednak zadanie łatwe do wykonania.
