"Steven Universe" to klasyczny w formie serial przygodowy przedstawiający perypetie Stevena – chłopca, którym opiekują się trzy magiczne wojowniczki zwane Kryształowymi Klejnotami. Dziewczyny odpowiadają za bezpieczeństwo ludzkości. Dzięki magicznym kamieniom osadzonym w ich ciałach, mogą korzystać z potężnej broni – Perła ma czarodziejską włócznię, Granat – rękawice, a Ametyst – bat. Steven jest w połowie Kryształowym Klejnotem. Swoją moc odziedziczył po mamie. Chociaż jeszcze nie umie korzystać z kryształu znajdującego się w jego pępku, bardzo chce pomagać Granat, Ametyst i Perle w ratowaniu świata. Jego zapał często wpędza ekipę w zabawne tarapaty. Tam, gdzie nie starcza mu umiejętności, chłopak stara się nadrabiać humorem i żartami.
